Over 8,000 employers have hired 11,300 internally displaced persons, according to the Government portal.
The state pays IDPs who started working after 24 February 2022 the minimum wage (UAH 8,000) for three months. For those with disabilities, it’s six months.
To get the money, the employer must sign a contract with the IDP. Then, the employer must apply for compensation through the Diia portal or at the employment center with the right documents.
In April 2022, the government introduced a program to encourage entrepreneurs to hire IDPs. The program aims to help people who were forced to move to safer regions and increase employment.
