The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, has released a statement via his telegram channel.

This is about the alleged execution of nine Ukrainian prisoners in the Kursk region.

The Ombudsman highlighted that these actions are in contravention of international humanitarian law, in particular the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

Lubinets urged the international community to respond to this incident and hold the perpetrators accountable.
