The issue was addressed at a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the Protection of Children’s Rights under Martial Law, held yesterday under the chairmanship of Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Vereshchuk.

The representatives of the regions provided an update on the status of the search for and purchase of housing for family-type children’s homes. They reported that the regions are actively searching for suitable housing options.

Furthermore, the meeting attendees addressed the topic of funding. In particular, the possibility of redistributing funds to regions requiring additional financial support was discussed.

Please be advised that this pertains to the implementation of the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1055 of September 13, 2024. It provides for the distribution of subventions from the state budget to local budgets for the purchase of housing for family-type orphanages.

In total, the objective is to purchase housing for 94 family-type children’s homes by the end of this year.
