In the context of the press conference, the parties separately discussed the introduction in 2021 of free preparatory courses with scholarship provision for youth from the temporarily occupied territories and settlements on the contact line, which were introduced by the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
"This year, the Ministry for Reintegration of TOT introduced a new initiative on the admission of youth from the TOT and settlements on the contact line to free preparatory courses with scholarship provision. The purpose of the preparatory courses is to provide an opportunity for an immediate start in adapting to a new city. We have ensured that during the preparatory courses the children are not distracted by the need to solve the problem of housing and material security. During the two months of courses students will receive a monthly scholarship in the amount of UAH 4,500 and will be provided with free dormitory accommodation. This year the courses can be taken at 23 higher educational institutions all over Ukraine. The geography of the locations is quite wide, from Kramatorsk to Lviv and from Hlukhiv in Sumy oblast to Izmail in Odesa oblast. The selection for the courses started on June 1st and will continue until June 20th. Training will last from June 29th to August 31st," said Iryna Kalupakha.
In addition, she noted that during the training students will be involved in cultural, educational, sports and psychological activities, and according to the results of preparatory courses will receive a certificate. Also, if a child has chosen a higher educational institution, which is not included in the list of 23 selected, then there is still a possibility to take preparatory courses in any of these 23 higher educational institutions.
