The Ministry of Health has launched the registration for vaccination against COVID-19 for citizens of Ukraine living in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city and belong to the priority groups currently vaccinated in Ukraine (primarily elderly people 65 years of age and older).
Registration is carried out by the contact-centre number of the counteraction to the COVID-19 of the Ministry of Health: 0800 60 20 19.
During the conversation, it is obligatory to tell the operator from which settlement you are (specifying that it is currently temporarily occupied), provide your details and choose the most convenient vaccination point.
The operator will register you for the vaccination and send you an SMS-message with a unique identification code if you have a Ukrainian telephone number, or an e-mail if you do not have one.
This identification code will also be transferred to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine so that you can easily enter the Government-controlled area of Ukraine.
It is important that citizens who wish to be vaccinated and have a unique identification code with confirmation of the vaccination appointment, do not have to undergo self-isolation or medical observation.
To make an appointment for a second dose of vaccine, it will be necessary to call the contact center again.
"Due to the actions of the Russian occupation regimes, our people are isolated from the civilized world without the ability to provide basic human needs. First of all, that is about medical care. In fact, the occupation authorities, violating all norms of international and international humanitarian law, carry out medical genocide. Since February of this year, the Ministry for Reintegration of TOT together with the Ministry of Health started the work on the algorithm of vaccination for our citizens living in the temporarily occupied territories. Henceforth, I am pleased to announce the launch of registration for vaccination. Vaccination of our citizens from the TOT will begin by the end of May or mid-June. The vaccinations will take place at the medical points designated by the local health departments. The vaccine has already been delivered," said Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
Reznikov also recalled that since the beginning of the year the Ministry for Reintegration of TOT together with the Ministry of Health launched free testing at EECPs - 21,596 persons have already used this service.
"Together with the Ministry for Reintegration of TOT, we have developed the simplified procedure that allows the Ukrainians from among priority groups living in the temporarily occupied territories to quickly and easily get vaccinated against COVID-19 at convenient vaccination points in the Government-controlled area of Ukraine. These vaccination points are provided with everything necessary for vaccination," noted Viktor Liashko, Minister of Health.
Immunization with CoronaVac vaccine from Sinovac Biotech will be carried out in 10 vaccination points in the territories of Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson oblasts in the Government-controlled area of Ukraine. These vaccination points are located near entry-exit checkpoints (EECPs). The full list of vaccination points can be viewed at https://bit.ly/2T0bcC3.
