The First Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories of Ukraine Rostyslav Zamlynskyi visited the State Scientific and Research Institute of Laboratory Diagnostics and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise in Kyiv city, which will be one of the examples for construction of a laboratory for quality control of agricultural products and food products in Luhansk oblast.
"Currently our Ministry realises "The Eastern Ukraine: Reconnect, Recover, Revitalize" (3R) project with the support of the World Bank. One of the important directions of this project is the construction of a new modern laboratory for quality control of agricultural products and food products, which by the latest standards of modern technical equipment, state standards, will serve the needs of Luhansk oblast and farmers who are engaged in all types of agricultural business," said Rostyslav Zamlynskyi.
Therefore, within the framework of the visit, representatives of Kyiv laboratory elaborated on the details of premises design for the corresponding objective. In particular, on the technical arrangement of the laboratory. Furthermore, the parties discussed the amount of electricity needed to ensure the full viability of the laboratory and what equipment is capable to provide it.
In addition, the parties discussed the difficulties that arose during the construction of the Kyiv laboratory and the ones that may arise during construction work in Luhansk oblast.
"In order to prevent a number of issues and nuances, we decided to hear about your experience and see it for ourselves in order to understand how to organize the construction process and what we should focus on. We will definitely take into account your recommendations for the establishment of a laboratory in Luhansk oblast," concluded Rostyslav Zamlynskyi.
In addition, we would like to inform that the "The Eastern Ukraine: Reconnect, Recover, Revitalize" (3R) project envisages attraction of investments into the local infrastructure to restore agriculture, increase economic opportunities, cohesion and inclusion in the socio-economic life of communities.
Therefore, this project envisages the construction of a laboratory of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection for quality control of agricultural products and food products, as currently there is no such laboratory in Luhansk oblast.
The cost of repairs and technological equipment of the laboratory is estimated by experts at UAH 300 million. It is planned to implement the initiative at the expense of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
