The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk announced the launch of an additional assistance program to address urgent issues at the place of relocation of Ukrainian citizens.

“UNICEF, together with the Ukrainian government, has worked out and adopted a resolution establishing a program of additional assistance to address pressing issues in the place of relocation of Ukrainians – she said. – We understand that you have lost your home, the opportunity to live normally and now you have urgent needs that need to be met. Therefore, accommodation, food, medicine, medical care are all that will be covered, at least in part, by this program”.

Iryna Vereshchuk clarified that the program will begin its work for the most vulnerable citizens who are in need of such assistance. These are, for example, big families and families with children with disabilities.

According to her, within the framework of the program the following categories of the population are entitled to additional payments in the form of financial assistance:

– families with three or more children, of which at least one child is under two years of age;

– families with two or more children, of which at least one child has a disability.

Payment of cash benefits is made in addition, regardless of whether persons receive other types of benefits. Including the payment of housing allowances to internally displaced persons. Financial assistance under this program is paid in the amount of UAH 2,220 per family member per month, for a maximum of five people. Payment of cash benefits is made once in one payment for three months.

To receive assistance, one of the adult family members fills out the application form on the official UNICEF website, including through the single state web portal of electronic services. In particular, using the mobile application “Diya” after technical implementation in accordance with the procedure established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“We also call on other international organizations to join in working with the Ukrainian Government to make it easier for our people, to make us stronger together with you, and for Ukraine to move faster and faster to victory” – Iryna Vereshchuk urged.
