Europe supports extended recognition of driving documents in EU member states for Ukrainian asylum seekers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that.

The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds us that in the EU, it is possible:

• use a Ukrainian driver’s license without the need to exchange it during the entire period of protection;
• use old-style driver’s licenses that do not have an expiration date or are issued in the form of a booklet. Now, there is no need to additionally have their certified translation and an international driver’s license;
• use a Ukrainian driver’s license even if it has expired;
• obtain a temporary (for the period of protection) EU-type driver’s license in case of loss or theft of a Ukrainian driver’s license without passing exams.
