Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk commented on this crossing on the border of the Belgorod and Sumy regions on “Suspilne TV”.

The Vice Prime Minister clarified that free buses will run from Pokrovka to Krasnopillia. There you will find the first aid stations, where you can rest, receive medical and humanitarian assistance, and all the information you need to continue on your way. In particular, regarding a special evacuation train from Sumy to Kyiv, shuttle buses to Kharkiv, planned financial aid payments, etc.

Iryna Vereshchuk also emphasized that the state is doing everything to ensure that our citizens can freely enter the government-controlled territory. For example, if there are problems with the availability of documents.

“If a child has only a birth certificate, our border patrol will let them through. Even if you don’t have the passport, but have some other form of identification, it’s still possible. The occupiers may take away or destroy an identification document. Often, people cannot decide to leave the dangerous areas because of their absence. I urge you to use this opportunity to enter the controlled area through the existing humanitarian corridor,” the Vice Prime Minister concluded.
