Since the launch of the “Own Business” grant program, 54 veterans and their families have become winners. They will receive grants of 21 million UAH. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine reported this.

According to the results of the next wave of applications for veterans’ grants, there are 13 winners. They will receive almost 5 million UAH to start or develop their business.

With the grant money, the winners plan to open a cafe, a coffee shop, a bakery, a private medical practice, a children’s playroom, a taxi service, and more.

Under the program, veterans and their family members can receive from 250 thousand to 1 million UAH for business development.

Grants are awarded on the condition of 70/30 co-financing. This means that 30% of the recipient’s funds must be invested in the business and 70% of the funds received from the state in the form of a grant.
