An extended meeting of the Presidium of the Congress was held under the chairmanship of the Head of the Presidium Andriy Yermak. It took place on October 12. This time the meeting focused on urgent issues in Sumy and Chernihiv regions. In particular, the normalization of life in the de-occupied communities, security, and preparation for winter.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanovich, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Oleksiy Kuleba attended the event.
Among the participants were heads of Ukrainian embassies abroad and foreign diplomatic missions in Ukraine, and representatives of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. In total, 293 participants took part in the live and online meetings, including 108 representatives of local communities.
The head of the government added that at present there are sufficient gas reserves in storage facilities – 15.5 billion cubic meters and more than 1.2 million tons of coal. In Chernihiv region, there are 330 “Points of Strength”, in Sumy region – 541 points. In general, the Chernihiv region is 99.5% ready for the heating season, and the Sumy region is 99.1% ready.
