Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk led a usual gathering of the Coordination Headquarters for the de-occupied territories. Its participants stressed the importance of prompt development and implementation of the strategy for the restoration of state authority and reintegration of the population of the de-occupied territories.
In particular, the participants discussed the list of issues of the Social Protection area envisaged by the Strategy.
It was about fixing the social safety net and giving fundamental social amenities in the liberated regions. And also how people who gained the right to a pension during a period of temporary occupation can obtain it.
They discussed restarting education in the DOT. The Ministry of Education and Science, with other responsible parties, have been directed to provide progress reports on the interim outcomes of implementing the recommendations from the hearings held by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science, and Innovation. These hearings focused on “Reestablishing Education in the Recently Liberated Territories”.
The participants discussed updating the list of territories currently undergoing military operations or temporarily occupied by the russian federation, as approved by the Ministry of Reintegration. In particular, the discussion focused on possible amendments to the list by the proposals of the regional administrations of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv.
Additionally, the Ministry of Reintegration, with the State Migration Service, is working on prioritizing the necessary steps to restore the documents of Ukrainian citizens and regulate the status of foreigners in the previously occupied territories.
