The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that a foster family is raising three orphans and children deprived of parental care.
Ukraine regained custody of two boys and a girl, aged 11 and 17.
The charitable organization Save Ukraine, child welfare authorities, and the Service for Children worked together to make this possible.
During the occupation, russian authorities compelled children to attend russian schools. Mothers were threatened with having their children taken away if they refused.
The family lived in constant stress due to pressure and persecution from the russians, rarely leaving their house.
They are now in a safe location and receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance. Afterward, they will undergo rehabilitation.
Since the beginning of 2024, 38 children from the Kherson region have been returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
