Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized this during a working meeting with representatives of the International Rescue Committee (IRC).
Representatives from the Ministry of Reintegration and the IRC attended the meeting. Zoya Daniels, Senior Director of the Ukrainian Crisis Center, and Scott Lea, Director of the International Rescue Committee in Ukraine were present.
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global non-governmental organization that offers humanitarian aid, financial support, legal assistance, and psychological counseling.
The meeting discussed important issues related to humanitarian response.
The Ministry of Reintegration and the IRC discussed potential areas of cooperation, including providing payments to evacuees from frontline areas upon arrival in host communities.
They also talked about the option of aiding individuals who are evacuating through the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka checkpoint in the Sumy region. The IRC has mobile medical teams that can operate near the front line and respond promptly.
The Vice Prime Minister focused on employment programs for women, particularly IDPs. They discussed the possibility of providing mini-grants for their employment.
