Passports are still free for children abroad

This information was presented at a regular meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the Protection of Children’s Rights under Martial Law, chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

According to the National Social Service, over the past two months, approximately half a thousand passports have been issued to orphans and children deprived of parental care who are outside Ukraine for travel abroad.

In a recent directive, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk has instructed the National Social Service to maintain coordination with consulates and the State Migration Service regarding this process.

We are committed to ensuring that status children temporarily displaced abroad are provided with all the necessary documents,” stated Iryna Vereshchuk.

The Vice Prime Minister made changes to the law so that passports are free for children with status.
