Iryna Vereshchuk appealed to European partners: «Protect yourself and us from military and nuclear danger – support Ukraine and close the skies over nuclear facilities».
Countries in Europe can feel what the sieged but heroic Mariupol has been going through for more than two weeks. This was stated in an interview with the French channel LCI by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk. It is about the destruction of the city by the occupiers – primarily from the sky: missiles and bombings.
«You must understand that you do not help Ukraine enough» – Iryna Vereshchuk addressed the European world.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that security is not guaranteed in Europe at the moment, including nuclear security. After all, everyone already sees the recklessness and unpredictability of the aggressor’s actions.
«Thus, the minimum that the international community can do today – and this is also what President Volodymyr Zelensky says – is to ensure a no-fly zone over nuclear facilities in Ukraine in order to avoid a real threat to the whole world. And also – to provide Ukraine with the necessary technical capabilities for protection and struggle» – Iryna Vereshchuk stressed.
