Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk spoke about the results of humanitarian corridors on March, 22.
According to her, today all activities were focused on humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of Mariupol residents.
In total, more than 7 thousand civilians in Mariupol were rescued.
More than 1.1 thousand people were evacuated from the city of Berdyansk. Today, the humanitarian corridor from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia reached almost 6 thousand residents by their own transport.
In addition, humanitarian aid in the form of food and medicine was brought to Berdyansk.
At the same time, Iryna Vereshchuk stressed that the occupiers had violated the agreements.
«Unfortunately, the occupying forces violated the agreement today and did not allow buses to evacuate Mariupol residents from the village of Nikolske and the village of Melekino. There are 11 buses and 2 vehicles of the State Emergency Service (hereinafter – SES) were seized at a Russian checkpoint at the entrance to the city of Mangush and taken away in an unknown direction. The occupiers also took hostage 4 SES officers and 11 drivers. We demand from the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations to do everything urgently to ensure that our people are released immediately» – the Minister said.
She also reported that today 24 buses arrived in Berdyansk, which will start picking up people at the collection point near the city sports complex tomorrow at 9.00 a.m.
«Together with the buses, we brought 2 humanitarian aid trucks and 2 flour trucks to the city. Tomorrow morning we plan to send additional buses and a fuel truck from Zaporizhzhia to refuel Mariupol cars in Berdyansk» – Vereshchuk added.
The headquarters in Berdyansk continue to work, where the evacuated residents of Mariupol are provided with all necessary assistance.

Summing up, Iryna Vereshchuk announced the order of actions for tomorrow: the agreement on humanitarian corridors in Kyiv, Zaporihzhia, Kharkiv and Luhansk regions is additionally planned.
