Applicants who are registered and reside in the temporarily occupied territory will be able to pass all stages of the admission campaign remotely without taking the national multi-subject test (NMT), the Ministry of Education of Ukraine reported.
For security reasons, the NMT will be held within 1 day. Temporary examination centers for the test will operate on the territory controlled by Ukraine.
They are also planned to be set up in European countries, including Ukrainian educational centers. This will allow fellow citizens who have taken refuge abroad to enter Ukrainian educational institutions.
It should be noted that for this year’s admission, instead of NMT results, it will be possible to use the results of NMT 2022 or EIE (External Independent Evaluation) 2021/2020.
The Ministry of Education and Science emphasizes that all benefits and privileged categories will be preserved, in particular, for residents of the temporarily occupied territories. In addition, they will be able to sign an education agreement within 3 months of starting their studies.
The second stage of transferring beneficiaries enrolled in professional higher education institutions until 2021 is currently underway. These include residents of especially dangerous territories, children of fallen Ukrainian defenders, combatants, and people with war-related disabilities.
In total, in 2022, more than 21 thousand students received permission to transfer to state-funded education programmes.
The application of this year’s benefits for residents of especially dangerous areas will be determined in the spring, taking into account the situation in Ukraine.
