This is what Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk stated in the studio of the 1+1 TV channel. She emphasized that all possible tools will be used to fulfill this task. Among them are the formation of an international coalition, sanctions policy, initiation of criminal proceedings against those involved, etc.

“In the Presidential Office, the Coordination Council on Child Protection and Safety is responsible for this. It is headed by the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak. It also includes Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin. Our goal is not only to return children, but also to bring those responsible to justice,” explained Iryna Vereshchuk.

She added that information about all the deported children has to be collected literally bit by bit. The aggressor country does not provide any access or any information about them to anyone, even including the UN agencies, the International Red Cross Society and any other organizations.

Although the Russians are doing everything to make their traces disappear, the authorities will fight for the return of every Ukrainian child. This crime of genocide has no statute of limitations, and all those responsible for it will be punished,” the Vice Prime Minister summarized.
