This was discussed at an interdepartmental meeting chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk on cash payments to people affected by the floods caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

The participants of the meeting discussed the implementation of the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the payment of financial assistance to the residents of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions who suffered flooding as a result of the enemy’s explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

In addition to government aid, residents of these regions may also receive financial assistance from international organizations. According to a representative of the organization from the UN cluster, aid in the amount of 6,600 UAH has already been credited to more than 12,000 flood victims, and payments have begun.

“There is a state decision to pay a one-time financial assistance to the victims of floods. This is the President’s decision. We need to speed up the payment process as much as possible. I am also grateful to the international organizations that support our people,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
