Today, Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk chaired a meeting on the spiritual reintegration of the population in the liberated territories.

Representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, the Institute for Religious Freedom, the State Service for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience, the Presidential Office, the Ministry of Defense, other law enforcement agencies, and interested authorities took part in the discussion.

The focus is on humanitarian aid and spiritual support for the population through the clergy, especially in the de-occupied territories.

After all, religious organizations have become real humanitarian hubs in times of war. The Vice Prime Minister is convinced that their role is now crucial for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

“Representatives of the clergy should join the personnel reserve for the reconstruction of the occupied territories. This driving force will help bring our people back to life. It is the clergy, together with psychologists, who help the families of military personnel, internally displaced persons, and all other people affected by the war,” Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized.
