During the year, the state invested UAH 4 billion in business development through grants under the eRobota project. Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy reported.
The government launched the project in July 2022 to support businesses and stimulate job creation. Under the grant program, entrepreneurs can receive funds to start or develop their businesses, grants for the creation and development of processing enterprises, orchards and vineyards, and greenhouses.
According to the project results:
- 5,061 mini-grants in the amount of UAH 1.2 billion were granted under the “Own Business” program;
- 455 grants in the amount of UAH 2.4 billion were granted for the development of processing enterprises;
- 88 grants for UAH 325 million for the development of horticulture and greenhouses.
Grant eligibility requires the creation of new jobs – from 1-2 in the case of a micro-grant to several dozen in the case of grants under other programs. The grant is repaid to the state within 3 years in the form of taxes and fees paid as the company continues to operate.
Both existing entrepreneurs and people with no business experience can receive a grant. The application is available through Diia.
