Head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Yermak chaired the extended meeting of the Presidium of the Congress. The meeting dealt with the issues of restoration, demining, and preparation for the fall-winter period in Kharkiv region.
Participants in the event included Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal, Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Oleksiy Kuleba. Among the participants were representatives of international organizations and foreign embassies. In total, more than 200 participants joined the meeting live and online, 115 of them were representatives of Kharkiv region.
In his speech, the Prime Minister noted that the government’s priority remains rapid reconstruction. One of its main directions is the eRecovery Program. More than 12,000 families have already received funds for repairs under the program, and the sum of payments is more than 1 billion UAH.
3.56 billion UAH have been allocated from the fund for the liquidation of the results of armed aggression for the restoration of settlements, housing, and public infrastructure in Kharkiv region. First and foremost, we are talking about repairing schools, high-rise residential buildings, and hospitals. Special attention will also be given to preparing the energy system for the heating season and restoring critical infrastructure.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 90% of electricity and 78% of gas supplies have been restored in the de-occupied areas of the Kharkiv region, as ordered by the President of Ukraine. Additionally, projects valued at 1.1 billion UAH will be implemented to reconstruct damaged buildings.
A total of 513,000 IDPs live in the region. They have already received UAH 7 billion in social assistance.
