The Vocational Education in Ukraine initiative recently began in Ukraine. It aims to enhance the capabilities of professional staff for the recovery and economic development of Ukraine.
The German Federal Government has enlisted the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to execute the project, with support from the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in six regions.
The project will offer education and training programs, not just in vocational schools, but also in employment centers. This provides new educational opportunities for people of working age and activates social groups such as internally displaced persons and combatants.
The project costs €10 million and will go on until mid-2026. It will cover the regions of Kyiv, Poltava, Dnipro, Lviv, Vinnytsia, and Chernivtsi.
