The 67th conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has passed a resolution to instantly hand over Zaporizhzhia NPP to Ukraine’s control.
The proposal from Canada, Finland, and Costa Rica gained the support of 69 countries, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reports.
The IAEA decision calls on the russian federation to immediately withdraw all military and other unauthorized personnel from the ZNPP and to return the facility to the full control of the competent authorities of Ukraine by the existing license issued by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU).
The document also asks the country responsible to give the IAEA a chances to guarantee the correct and secure function of the power station. It also urges the introduction of successful safety measures at ZNPP.
