There are instances when Ukrainians who resided in TOT and committed crimes against Ukrainian statehood are granted legal status abroad through the use of Ukrainian documents. How to avoid these types of situations was talked about in a meeting led by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

The representatives of the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, the National Police, the State Migration Service, the Security Service of Ukraine, and other government agencies and structures participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the attendees decided to share information and establish communication channels among concerned authorities, NGOs, and the national security sector. The objective is to prevent the legalization of collaborators overseas using Ukrainian documents.

Among other things, we plan to keep informing our international partners to avoid state-level partnerships with official russian federation delegations that involve representatives of the occupation authorities in TOT.

“There will be no chance for those who worked with the enemy to escape justice by hiding in other countries. If anyone tries to legalize their crimes abroad, we will stop them. We aim to bring those who committed crimes against our country to justice, and we will take strong action to achieve that,” said the Vice Prime Minister.
