The project ‘Building Service Delivery Structures and Educational Capacity for Psychosocial Support in Ukraine’ will deliver 638 refrigerators to the Zakarpattia, Kirovohrad, and Vinnytsia regions.
The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) is implementing the project with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
In early January, the first batches of household appliances were delivered to these regions. Specifically, Zakarpattia Oblast received 77 refrigerators out of 134 planned, Kirovohrad Oblast received 169 out of 276, and Vinnytsia Oblast received 40 out of 228.
Institutions and facilities caring for internally displaced persons, as well as temporary accommodation centers (TAC) for displaced persons, will receive household appliances. The relevant RMA has agreed on the list of delivery addresses following a meeting of the IDP Coordination Center.
The assistance aims to improve living conditions at the TAC, following CMU Resolution No. 930, which approved the Procedure for the functioning of temporary accommodation for IDPs.
The Ministry of Reintegration developed this resolution to implement the State Policy Strategy on Internal Displacement until 2025.
