Iryna Vereshchuk: Communication with IDPs about employment opportunities should be improved

Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said this during a live broadcast on the Rada TV channel. According to her, the government is currently promoting and supporting various projects aimed at improving the employment of internally displaced persons.

In those regions where feedback is established between regional military administrations, state employment centers, and the people, it produces tangible results.

She cited an illustrative example where 750 grants were provided to IDPs, including those in frontline areas. This significantly helped them to support their businesses.

This project was implemented by the Ministry of Reintegration together with the Ministry of Economy with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

“We have programs and an understanding of what needs to be done. And some people want to find a job and are willing to work. But because of the lack of awareness on the ground, they often do not know that there are tools that they can use. So we have to help them navigate and choose the ones that are most convenient for them“, –  the Vice Prime Minister said.
