Last year, 260 veterans and family members of combatants won grants worth 109 million UAH through the veterans’ component of the ‘Grant for Your Own Business’ program. The Government portal reported.

Combatants or persons with war-related disabilities, as well as their spouses, can receive grants under the program’s terms:

– For a veteran, up to 250 thousand UAH will be provided for creating one job, up to 500 thousand UAH for creating two jobs, and up to 1 million UAH for creating four jobs;

– The veteran’s spouse can receive up to 250,000 UAH and up to 500,000 UAH, respectively, if one or two jobs are created.

To receive a grant from 500,000 to 1 million UAH, a veteran must have been registered as a sole proprietor for at least 3 years.

The grant is provided on the condition that the recipient co-finances in a 70/30 ratio. This means that the grant recipient must invest 30% of their funds in their business, while the state will provide 70% of the funds in the form of a grant.

The Diia portal is the required platform for submitting grant applications.
