Communities in the Lviv region are prepared to collaborate with international partners to assist victims of war

The Coordination Center for Support of Civilians in the region conducted a readiness analysis at a regular meeting. The Lviv Regional Military Administration reported this.

During the meeting, the participants discussed several topics, including solutions to the housing issue, mental health support, and assistance for IDPs, military families, and veterans. Additionally, 13 territorial communities submitted proposals for the establishment of supported living centers.

The Temporary Accommodation Management and Coordination Cluster (TA) in the Western Hub presented statistics on their residents. According to the statistics, the majority of TA residents are women aged 18 to 60 (32.8%) and women aged over 60 (17.1%).

The Coordination Center’s partners, including the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), will provide the residents of the TA with all necessary assistance this year.  IOM will support 25 TAs. UNHCR, in cooperation with the International Foundation for Health and Environment “Carpathian Region” (NEEKA) – 25, NRC – 10.
