During the meeting on agricultural business issues in the context of war, the participants reported on the development of relevant amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers resolution. Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk chaired the meeting.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy representative provided an update on the amendments being developed for the Procedure for using state budget funds to support farms. Approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on August 25, 2004, No. 1102.
The changes will cover two aspects:
- Agrarians who have assets in dangerous areas and have received state support will be allowed to delay loan repayment until de-occupation or the end of active hostilities.
- Farmers can apply for the program online through the State Agrarian Register. The system will also issue decisions electronically.
The state emphasized that this is an interest-free loan.
The draft resolution is currently being approved by the central executive authorities. After providing the central executive body with its conclusions and comments, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy will send it to the Government for consideration.
The Vice Prime Minister urged all parties involved in the process to avoid any delays. “We must protect our people by all means to ensure the successful post-war restoration of the agricultural business in the liberated territories.”
