To receive benefits provided by law, family members of a deceased defender of Ukraine must have the appropriate status. The Ministry of Justice reported this on their Facebook page.
Persons eligible for this status include:
– Military personnel families, including those who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, and volunteer formations that ensured national security and defense;
– Employees’ families of enterprises, institutions, and organizations that have taken measures to ensure national security and defense are eligible.
– Families of individuals who have passed away or disappeared.
To become a family member of a fallen Defender or Defender of Ukraine, you must apply to your district’s social welfare unit, the Kyiv state administration, or the executive body of your city or district council. Submit an application and the required documents.
