The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to compensate for the utilities consumed by internally displaced persons during their free stay in state, municipal, and private properties.

The document allocates over 156.6 million UAH from the state budget reserve fund to the relevant institutions to cover the cost of utilities for October-December 2023. The funds will be distributed to:  

– The state-owned institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industrial Policy, and Ministry of Social Policy paid more than 23 million UAH in compensation.

– Municipal institutions, state educational institutions, and jointly owned institutions of territorial communities in the region and district, managed by regional and district councils, received over 129.1 million UAH in funding from local budgets.

The Ministry of Reintegration will provide an additional subsidy from the state budget to local budgets based on the approved distribution among regional budgets.

• Private institutions (excluding private educational institutions) received over 4.4 million UAH in funding.

The Ministry of Reintegration thanks the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance for their cooperation in implementing the state policy to support internally displaced persons.
