474 Ukrainians have been recognized as winners of this year’s fourth wave of the ‘Grant for Your Own Business’ grant program. They will receive 113 million UAH from the state to start or expand their business. The Government portal reports.

Most grantees come from Lviv, Rivne, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk regions, and the city of Kyiv. They plan to use the funds to purchase equipment necessary for their business.

The winners of the fourth wave will work in the most popular areas, including: 

– wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles;

– processing industry;

– temporary accommodation and catering.

Since the government program launched in July 2022, almost 15,000 entrepreneurs have become winners. The state has invested 3.5 billion UAH in their businesses.

Recipients of grants have already returned to the state more than 1 billion UAH in taxes and fees paid to the budget while receiving grants.

Ukrainians can receive a microgrant ranging from 50,000 to 250,000 UAH under the “Grant for Your Own Business” program. The funds can be used to purchase or lease equipment, buy raw materials and supplies, or rent premises.

Both experienced entrepreneurs and individuals without relevant experience are eligible to apply. To receive funding, it is necessary to create 1-2 jobs, depending on the amount of the grant.
