The activities of the organization were reviewed at an expanded meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration. Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk participated in the event.
Ruslan Zaparaniuk, Head of the CRMA, members of the Coordination Center, MPs, heads of district military administrations, heads of territorial communities, and representatives of international and non-governmental organizations participated in the discussion.
It was noted that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Chernivtsi region has become a key area for receiving and accommodating IDPs. Currently, there is a need for support, including from international partners, in particular in providing IDPs with disabilities with barrier-free access to places of temporary residence.
They also talked about housing for IDPs. The Chernivtsi region is working on long-term solutions. It is implementing various programs and initiatives.
The Vice Prime Minister said that unused dormitories can be used to house IDPs. The Ministry of Reintegration is already helping with this in Lviv and Vinnytsia.
They also talked about how to help people who have been forced to leave their homes. They discussed how to help them find work and training.
The meeting participants reported on the veterans’ policy. They also raised some problems.
“Currently, our primary objective is to provide support to veterans. To ensure the government can provide the most effective assistance, we request that all requests in this regard be formulated,” the Vice Prime Minister stated.
