Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk participated in the official closing of the project “Development of Small and Medium Enterprises: Economic Integration of IDPs and Business Recovery” in Kyiv.

The project was initiated at the end of 2021. Since then, it has assisted in restoring relocated and war-affected businesses. It has also enhanced their capacity to operate and provide essential goods and services to IDPs.

“During the project, 511 grants of up to €4,500, 181 grants to small businesses of up to €20,000, 60 grants to startups of up to €7,000, and hundreds of consultations were provided. This is a good result,” the Vice Prime Minister said.

Over 5,000 jobs have been saved and more than 2,200 new ones created.

Iryna Vereshchuk thanked the IOM Mission in Ukraine, the German Government, KfW, and the Ministries of Economy and Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

“Thanks to our help, hundreds of Ukrainian businesses and thousands of displaced people have been able to integrate economically,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
