The forum “Veterans – the Way Home” is scheduled in Lutsk today. Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk greeted the participants via online communication.

The forum was organized by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Veterans’ Rights Protection, the Inter-Factional Deputy Association “Rehabilitation Forces of Ukraine,” and with the support of USAID Rada. The Next Generation Program is working in collaboration with the Volyn Regional State Administration and the Volyn Oblast Council.

The event was attended by Acting Minister of Veterans Affairs Oleksandr Porkhun, Members of Parliament, and representatives of the Inter-Factional Parliamentary Association “Rehabilitation Forces of Ukraine,” including Taras Tarasenko and Iryna Konstankevych. Also in attendance were Mark Ellingstad, Director of the USAID Office of Democratic Governance, and other distinguished guests.

The Forum wants to improve how the government helps veterans and their families. It also wants to bring together different groups to address this issue.

Iryna Vereshchuk thanked the military for protecting our land and saving our people. She also thanked Taras Tarasenko for helping veterans.

“The most important thing is to hear from our veterans. The veteran community represents our potential in all its forms. In post-war reconstruction, in the formation of a personnel reserve for the de-occupied territories, and the development of veteran businesses,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
