This was a humanitarian project by the Ministry of Reintegration with support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Ukrposhta.
The project provided for the payment of one-time financial assistance of UAH 3,600 per person. This was received by Ukrainians who left the temporarily occupied territories through the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka and Mokrany-Domanove checkpoints or were evacuated from frontline settlements via evacuation routes.
The project was a great way to financially support those who had to leave their homes. Throughout its validity period (from 10 December 2023 to 6 July 2024), more than 16,000 people received funds worth about UAH 60 million.
This humanitarian project expires at the beginning of July this year.
It is worth noting that this initiative was a successful example of collaboration between the Ministry of Reintegration, IOM (the national telecommunications operator), and regional military administrations to support the evacuated population.
