This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.

According to her words, 3686 people arrived in Zaporizhhia today through humanitarian corridors from Mariupol and Berdyansk by their own transport and evacuation buses. There are 1171 of them from Mariupol.

There are 2515 people, that arrived from the cities of Zaporizhzhia region: Pology, Vasylivka, Berdyansk, Melitopol and Gulyaypole.

A convoy of 11 buses for the evacuation of residents of Melitopol and Tokmak, which left Zaporizhzhia today, is now at the checkpoint of the occupying forces in the city of Vasylivka. They will continue on the route tomorrow morning.

Also tomorrow morning buses will be sent from Zaporizhzhia to evacuate people from Berdyansk.

Today, 1,206 people were evacuated from the cities of Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Kreminna and the village of Girske in the Luhansk region.

“Every day we try to break into the city of Mariupol, but the occupying forces and their leadership in the russian federation are blocking all our attempts and the efforts of international organizations” – said the Deputy Prime Minister.

According to her, the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross had all the necessary approvals from the russian side and Ukraine to travel to Mariupol and evacuate people. However, in addition to not being allowed to pass, they were arrested by a so-called “DNR” group and held behind grate for almost a day.

“But we will still continue to break into Mariupol” – Iryna Vereshchuk assured.

In conclusion, the Deputy Prime Minister addressed the residents of this city, as well as Ukrainians living in other blocked regions, and the leaders and residents of Kherson:

“Dear Mariupol residents! We will do our best to help you escape. We are also working on corridors to other blocked communities to deliver humanitarian aid and evacuate people there, – said Iryna Vereshchuk. – I want to say a few words, addressing the leaders of Kherson. I know it’s hard for you. This sometimes despair prevents us from thinking rationally. I know that there are communities that are tired, that want peace and tranquility. But the whole country wants that. We all want and strive for this. I appeal to the communities and their leaders: believe that we will win! Know that the government knows about your problems and does everything to reduce them. If we did not manage to open humanitarian corridors today or yesterday and deliver the much-needed humanitarian cargo, it does not mean that this will not happen tomorrow. Let’s forge our victory together!” – called on the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.
