Dmytro Lunin, Head of Poltava Regional Military Administration, members of parliament, representatives of the Polish Embassy, Rafał Dzięciełowski, Chairman of the Board of the International Solidarity Foundation, and Tomasz Grzyb, Coordinator of the “Under a Safe Roof” project, as well as representatives of international humanitarian organizations attended the event.

The construction and arrangement of the modular city were carried out jointly by international donors and the Poltava Regional Military Administration as part of the “Under a Safe Roof” project. With the financial support of the British Government, the project was implemented by the Polish International Solidarity Fund.

The total number of modules is 240, which can accommodate up to 300 people. About a hundred IDPs from Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya, and Dnipro regions are already living here. Iryna Vereshchuk inspected the living conditions and spoke with the residents.

“The emergence of this modular city demonstrates the unity of the international community around Ukraine. I want to express my special gratitude to the Polish International Solidarity Fund and the British Government.  These two countries have been helping our country since the first day of the war. And once again, they proved that solidarity knows no boundaries and that true support is manifested in good deeds. I hope that our IDPs will feel comfortable and cared for here. After all, this is a project of great humanity, sensitivity, and kind hearts,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
